How Can cold Along With Sinus Infection Be Treated?

Sure, I am 51yr old female w/head cold that started Friday night; I have taken some over the counter meds & am not feeling relief. I have a history of ear infections; I don t like to waste my general practitioner s time. I am wondering if I have an ear infection or a more severe sinus infection?

Hello,

Cold can cause infection to ears. So for sinus infection is concerned it is again associated with cold.

Therefore all can be present at same time. You need to take antibiotocs like amoxycillin and anticold medication for some time.

However it is better if you can meet an ENT specialist for examination so that your problem can be effectively treated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
